The nose on this Honjozo is a clean collection of bread, yeast, soup, veggie, melon, and candy aromas. Say Hello to our third Nama Can Sake! This brew fits right between our other cans for good reason. It is unique! And in this case, that is a very good thing. Also unpasteurized with a higher alcohol content of 19% this brew is savory and dry and not fruity or sweet with fruit tones. It is watery, slick, and crisp with a little tail. There is a gentle brine salty quality that makes the brew drink far more savory than other can brews. Look for tomato water, veggie, savory radish, biscuit sweetness and an overall savory dry finish of white pepper. A very tight and compact brew that drinks far too easy. It is such a unique flavor that is better tasted than described almost like drinking Saltine and Veggie crackers. A very fun and tasty sake that does well chilled in that compact can.
